Musicians' Company Evensong

The Musicians Company holds an annual Evensong at St Paul's Cathedral at which most Livery Companies process, resplendent in their Company gowns. Admission of Sheriffs

Each year, on Michaelmas Eve, the two new Sheriffs of the City of London are admitted to their office at Guildhall in one of the traditional ceremonies of the City of London. Typically the Sheriffs are elected on Midsummer Day, 24th June, and their Admission precedes the election of the Lord Mayor at Common Hall on Michaelmas Day. …read more

Magical Taxi Tour

The Master and Clerk attended the Big Breakfast and Magical Taxi Tour send off organised by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers taking terminally ill children to Disneyland Paris for a very special weekend. The Taxi Advisers sponsor a taxi, as do many other Livery Companies. The Lord Mayor and Sheriffs were also in attendance for the send off. …read more

National Army Museum

The Master and Deputy Master attended a Livery Reception at the National Army Museum show-casing the fabulous new refurbished galleries that have been opened recently with support from a number of Livery Companies. The Museum is well worth a visit. As well as an address by the director, Justin Maciejewski DSO, MBE,  we also had the opportunity to visit the Special Forces: In the Shadows exhibition which is currently showing, with a tour by the curator. City Churches Walk

Each year the Worshipful Company of Plumbers and the Worshipful Company of Constructors take it in turn to host the Annual City of London Churches Walk, taking in 10 or so of the City's fabulous Wren churches with a guide from the Friends of the City Churches. This year's event was attended by the Deputy Master. …read more

Goldsmiths' Fair

The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths hosts an annual fair at Goldsmiths' Hall, showcasing up and coming young designers in precious metals and jewellery. The Fair is open to anyone who would like to attend, and is over two weeks, with the exhibitors in the second week being completely different from those in the first week. …read more

Commemorating Women in the City and beyond

The Lady Masters' Association, of which the current chair is Past Master Tax Adviser Erica Stary, held a black tie dinner at Ironmongers' Hall to commemorate 100 years of women first being given the vote, 35 years since the first Lady Master (Sylvia Tutt of the Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) and 35 years since the first female Lord Mayor, Mary Donaldson. The guest speaker was Dame Helena Morrissey. Innholders' Hall has a Michelin starred chef, Herbert Berger. …read more

ATT President's lunch and Management Consultants' Reception

The Master attended a lunch today at Clothworkers' Hall, hosted by the ATT President Tracy Easman. At the lunch, Past Master Peter Gravestock was presented with an award for all his many years of service to the ATT. This afternoon the Master will attend a service of celebration, dedication and thanksgiving at St James Garlickhythe followed by an autumn reception and admissions ceremony at Painters' Hall as a guest of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants which is celebrating its first 25 years this year. …read more
