Worshipful Company of Plumbers

On Monday 20 March, the Master attended a white tie banquet at Mansion House as guest of Past Master Abraham, herself also a Liveryman of the Plumbers Company.

The tremendous dinner was attended by around 300 company members and their guests including the Lord Mayor Locum Tenens Alderman Sir Michael Bear and the principle guest Sir Keith Mills GBE DL an English entrepreneur and deputy chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Music on arrival and during the excellent dinner was provided by the London Banqueting Ensemble under the direction of their Musical Director, Steve Fletcher. In a novel touch, the traditional jousting between two trumpeters for Koenig’s Post Horn Gallop took place around the tables of the Egyptian Room instead of in the gallery above the diners. This was much appreciated by all in attendance.
