Lord Mayor's Tax Debates

As part of the tax profession's contribution to the Lord Mayor's Business of Trust agenda, the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers and the Chartered Institute of Taxation co-hosted an event at Mansion House, opened and closed by the Lord Mayor, consisting of two debates around some contemporary hot topics, one with a UK flavour, and one with an international flavour. Over 300 people registered for this event, and lively discussion followed the debates themselves over a glass of wine and canapes.  Guest speakers included Kevin Nicholson, Head of Tax at PwC, Robert Palmer, Executive Director of Tax Justice UK, Grace Perez-Navarro, Deputy Director at the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration at the OECD and Chris O'Shea, Chairman of the 100 Group Tax Committee.
