Treloars Lunch at Barber-Surgeons' Hall

Lunch under the Hans Holbein PaintingThe Master and Consort attended a fund raising lunch at Barber-Surgeons' Hall in aid of  the Treloars school for disabled children. The school was founded by a former Lord Mayor of the City of London and is financially supported by many Livery Companies including the Tax Advisers - an annual donation is made from the Tax Advisers' Charitable Trust.  The Master and Consort had the privilege of visiting Treloars School earlier this year to see the fantastic work that they do first hand.  The Lady Mayoress was in attendance at the lunch, supporting the fund raising efforts.

Barber-Surgeons' Hall boasts a fantastic Hans Holbein painting of Henry VIII presenting a charter to the Barber-Surgeons' Company, and we were lucky enough to have a talk from an expert on the painting's history.
